We have some very exciting news for Fortnite and Honkai: Star Rail players, as there’s some very strong evidence of a new collaboration between the two games coming soon! According to a lot of teasers and even confirmations by Epic Games themselves, we’re expected to see some new weapon skins and maybe even Trailblazer characters coming to Fortnite. Here’s all the evidence and confirmations we know so far.
🖥️ Epic Games’ Twitter (X) Teaser Post
To the surprise of so many Fortnite players and Hoyoverse gacha game fans, Epic Games posted on their Twitter, aka X, account that heavily references Honkai: Star Rail. The post was made on January 30th, 2026. Not many leaks were made before this by popular dataminers, so this post made huge shockwaves among multiple fanbases. Want to get some exclusive items that you missed way back then? You can find a fortnite account for sale to look and see what they have!
The post itself features two iconic swords from Honkai: Star Rail with the caption references Trailblazers. Trailblazers refer to what the characters from HSR are called, so there’s no denying the reference and incoming collaboration at this point. As for who the swords belong to, some inferences are still being made by fans. Are these a pair of signature 5-star weapons? Are their owners coming to Fortnite as potential Skins too?
⚔️ What Are the Swords & Who Do They Belong to?
It didn’t take too long for Honkai: Star Rail players to start hyper-analysing the image Epic Games posted. In it, two swords are depicted to be sticking out of the ground, but they aren’t just any swords. These are actually iconic signature weapons for very specific 5-star characters in Honkai: Star Rail. These were soon to be inferred to be both Blade and Kafka’s swords, which gives some major hints into possible avatar Skins that could appear.
📜 Blade’s Sword
Blade is a fan-favorite character as one of the morally-grey antagonists of the Stellaron Hunters clan. His sword making a special appearance in Fortnite actually makes perfect sense considering how important it is to his lore. The whole point of Blade’s name is that he sold his soul to become the blade itself. Because of this, Blade doesn’t know his real name after his reincarnation. He also possesses what’s described to be a terrifyingly powerful self-healing ability in battle.
If Fortnite decides to add Blade’s signature sword, which is most likely what will happen, fans are going to rejoice at the significance this event would bring. Blade is so popular considering how much lore there is behind his story and the mysteriousness behind it. Despite technically being a part of the antagonists, he doesn’t really present himself that way. Instead, he’s more focused on repaying a past debt from a life he’s struggling to remember, which only brings him rage due to a condition called Mara.
🐈⬛ Kafka’s Sword
Now we move on to Kafka’s lore and sword. Hers is a notable bright red and elegant choice of weapon that perfectly matches the one seen in the Epic Games post. However, there’s even more reason to believe that she would premiere alongside Blade in Fortnite. The biggest reason would be that if Blade is the other Skin arriving, then Kafka would be a perfect side character considering that they’re both part of the Stellaron Hunters clan or faction.
Kafka is a character who is described to carry herself elegantly thanks to her overwhelming beauty according to those around her while still carrying heavy malice. She’s committed loads of atrocious crimes in the world of Honkai: Star Rail with little to no remorse as a means to achieve Elios’ goals. Elios’ is a literal black cat who is the leader of the clan, but strives to create a specific new future in their world. Elios is willing to do anything to earn it and so does Kafka in turn.
⏰ When will the Honkai: Star Rail x Fortnite Collab Drop?
Despite the teaser, there hasn’t been any other announcements or even leaks about an official release date for the collaboration. Considering how even reliable leakers on Twitter were surprised, we might not hear that much about this collab again for a little while. The next chapter for Fortnite looks to be incredibly jam-packed with lots of other content when according to other leaks though. Perhaps we may see Blade and Kafka show up then?
As for the other content potentially showing up, there’s been plenty of leaks for big IPs and artists ranging from headlining Chappell Roan on the Fortnite Festival, to possibly Overwatch in the far future! There were already doubts about a possible Overwatch collab, considering just how big that would be. However, now that we know for sure about a partnership as big as one with Hoyoverse, a Blizzard collab doesn’t feel so far-fetched now.
